Our MissionThe Society for Human Rights in Iran - Southern california (SHRIsc) independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest or religion is comprised of volunteer intellectuals, professionals, community members, students, and academics, and human rights activists.
SHRIsc's vision is to support a society in which every Iranian citizen enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights convention.
While pursuing this vision, the SHRI's mission is to undertake action to raise the public awareness on preventing the abuses of human rights in Iran, and to enhance the human integrity, freedom of conscience and expression, and freedom from discrimination.
It is part of our vision and long term goal to create a global network of all existing Iranian human rights organizations around the world.
The SHRIsc’s budget is to be raised from its members, community, and NGOs with parade missions, and approval of the Board. Policy decisions are taken by the elected board members
